Description
The Snohomish County Health and Safety Network is a community-based program working toward the reduction and prevention of youth violence and substance abuse. The Network takes a comprehensive approach, tailored to the various communities within Snohomish County. We bring together existing organizations to collaborate in maximizing the resources of the community. We engage the whole community in identifying the particular needs and strengths of each community. We ensure that young people are active participants in building a community that nurtures young people and strengthens families. The Network implements these strategies through community projects including, The Youth Empowerment Project, Peer Education Projects, and Community-based Prevention Planning Projects.
