Dance Daze in Schools

Description

We bring high quality dance programs to schools, focusing on urban schools that serve students from low-income communities. Our dance programs are led by trained college students who complete service-learning internships with our organization. We bring completely free 6-week to 8-week sessions of dance classes to a select number of schools in the San Francisco Bay Area each year.

Dance Daze in Schools was founded in September of 2011. We became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization in March of 2012, and we were granted retroactive tax-exempt status effective on September 19th, 2011. All donations made to Dance Daze in Schools are tax-deductible.

We are a high quality dance education and youth development organization seeking to enrich the lives of students, through innovative educational programming, with a focus on movement education.

We are headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area and have programs in schools in California, New York, and Washington, D.C. In the fall of 2013, we will be expanding to new markets, with a focus on bringing high quality dance programs to under-served urban and rural communities. We are always seeking new school and community partners with a commitment to quality education, serving students, innovation, and excellence.
