Mission Statement
Oklahoma Orphaned Poodle Services, Inc. is non-profit, volunteer based rescue organization dedicated to provide responsible, compassionate care, fostering and placement of abandoned, surrendered or confiscated animals in order to promote, aide, save and rescue poodles, pure breed and mixes.
Description
Our address is for mailing purposes only. We do not have a facility and rely on fosters for temporary homes for orphans.
We take in orphaned poodle/poodle mixes from shelters and private surrenders.
The animals have a complete vet exam including altering, dental, micro-chipping, vacinations and any other medical need as required. No dog will leave our recue without being fixed.
The orphan is then placed in a foster home and posted on our websit. Our website is through rescue.org that pushes our animal information out to many additional websites such as PetFinder and Adopt-A-Pet.
We have volunteers that check applications (online or offline).
We bring our orphans to PetsMart in Tulsa Hills the third Sunday of each month. We also attend other adoption events as volunteers are available such as Rock and Rescue and Woofstock.
Fundraisers have included garage sales, silent auctions and t-shirt sales.
