Mission Statement

We are an independently funded conservation and educational organization devoted to the acquisition and stewardship of our natural landscapes, and to ensuring all generations have a meaningful, lasting connection to our land.

Description

We are a non-profit land trust that incorporates land restoration and environmental education into our mission. Our organization is supported completely by voluntary contributions, including membership dues and donations.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

Lake Forest Open Lands is considered a regional leader in environmental education. Our programs provide an outdoor experience to reinforce science classroom curriculum. In some cases, our field experiences are a mandated part of the school science curriculum.
