Big Brothers Big Sisters has been the premier mentoring agency in America with proven results for children for more than 100 years, and serving thousands of children in SW Florida over the past 50 years. BBBS offers unique one to one mentoring where we pair a child with an adult mentor in the community for a full year. ( and in many cases many years beyond) The "Bigs" and "Littles" meet once a week out in the community and form a bond while doing fun actitivites and simply talking about life. Most of our children are from single parent homes caused by death, divorce or some other trauma and need the extra person in their life who believes in them and can help steer them in the right direction. Our program works! Lives are changed! You’ll be hard pressed not to find someone in your group of friends or social circles who have been impacted by this agency along the years- either by being a volunteer or by being a "little" themselves.
