RE: the AARP TaxAide Program.
Maybe preparing other people's taxes isn't everyone's idea of a great time, but I really enjoyed this opportunity. It's a great program where you get to do something useful and skilled. You get a great training and you get to exercise your brain more than the usual envelope-stuffing volunteer position. And you get to work with people one-on-one helping them out with their tax problems.

I think this is a fabulous program for those of us who have a little bit of extra time to offer and become more involved with the community. In the current recession, it's more important that we work together to support the ones who are less fortunate than we are.
This is an awesome program which develops your interpersonal skills.
