Mission Statement

HOPE Coalition America, the emergency economic response initiative of Operation HOPE and the national partner with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, FEMA and Citizen Corps for emergency economic preparedness, response and recovery ("economic triage"), has announced Project Restore HOPE as a direct response to Hurricane Katrina, impacting the states of Louisiana (and specifically New Orleans), Mississippi, Alabama and to a lesser degree, Florida. Through the efforts of its paid and volunteer group of "compassion counselors," Operation HOPE and HOPE Coalition America is uniquely able to help victims quickly identify, address, and minimalize the immense damage. Damage which is only possible but probable, from the economic disaster that follows every physical disaster, and will no doubt follow Hurricane Katrina.

Description

Project Restore HOPE will provide the following free services to the victims of the recent Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma: • Compassionate one-on-one financial counseling. • Emergency one-on-one credit management. • Assisting individuals and families with deferring mortgage payments. • Assisting individuals, families and small businesses with working with your creditors. • Assisting with obtaining copies of destroyed financial records (IRS, federal, state, private-sector, etc). • Victim insurance claim assistance. • Assistance with completing the EFFAK (Emergency Financial First AID Kit)
