We are recruiting volunteers interested in joining with the American Cancer Society to help people get well, stay well, and fight back against cancer! Relay For Life is a 24 hour community based event dedicated to raising cancer awareness, and fund raising for additional research and to support the programs provided through ACS to cancer survivors and caregivers. The committee works together to promote the event, support the mission of ACS, educate the community about advocacy efforts and opportunities, seek out sponsorship within the community, recruit and develop new teams, and plan and implement the event in partnership with an ACS staff member dedicated to working with the community. Committee members are critical to the success of every Relay For Life event, and greatly appreciated by ACS, cancer survivors, and Relayers alike!
