ESC's housing communities help subsidize volunteer outreach programs throughout Northern California that provide life changing services to seniors. These nonprofit outreach programs include:
SENIOR PRODUCE MARKETS: Providing fresh fruit and vegetables on a weekly basis in 17 different markets at senior centers, affordable housing communities and churches across northern California.
SENIOR RESOURCES: Providing supportive services in seven counties to the most frail elderly. Services range from information referrals and safety net funding (for rent, food and prescription medications) to healthy meals, transportation, and health & wellness support.
SENIOR CENTER WITHOUT WALLS: Addressing the physical and emotional isolation of frail, homebound seniors by providing more than 70 weekly activities, classes and support groups through free telephone conference calls.
ElderWISE: Providing trained volunteers to provide a compassionate presence in the life of those who are often hardest to reach - at-risk, isolated seniors in their own homes.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMMUNITIES: Episcopal Senior Communities stands out in its commitment and funding to provide activities, health and wellness programs, and nutritional programs to serve the whole individual in its four affordable housing communities.
