Mission Statement

Community Meals on Wheels, Inc., a non-profit organization founded in 1977 by Church Women United, delivers hot, nutritious lunchtime meals Monday through Friday to homebound residents of the Charlottesville/Albemarle area on a temporary or long-term basis. Our service's goal is to provide not only nutritious food but also valuable and daily social contact to people who would otherwise be hungry and alone.

Hot and ready-to-eat lunches are delivered by volunteers to the homes of recipients.
