Mission Statement
Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate homelessness and substandard housing by making decent affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action for all people. We build our homes with volunteer labor and donations of material, supplies, land, and services. We sell each home, with a no-interest mortgage, to a low-income family. The family becomes an active Habitat partner contributing many hours of "sweat equity" during the construction of their home.
Description
Pioneer Valley Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical, non-profit housing ministry that builds homes with families in need. We have been making home ownership accessible and affordable to low-income working families since 1989. A Habitat home is a source of stability and pride for the homeowners. It also stands as a symbol of our volunteers successful grass roots initiatives in the community.
