Mission Statement

To educate the public and influence state/national policy decisions in order to improve services to those who are affected by alcoholism and/or drug addiction.

Description

TAADAS is an association made up of alcohol and drug abuse treatment, prevention, and recovery service professionals and others who are interested in addiction issues. TAADAS operates a state wide referral line, the Tennessee REDLINE, funded by the Tennessee Department of Health for people looking for addiction services in the state as well as housing a clearinghouse/resource center of free literature dealing with addiction and related issues such as HIV/AIDS, Gambling, etc. The Clearinghouse also includes a lending library stocked with books and videos related to substance abuse, addiction, and related issues. TAADAS also has a self help/recovery book and gift store called Recovery Books & Things designed to sustain, inspire, and celebrate the addiction recovery journey.
