Mission Statement

The mission of Tri-City Peoples Corporation is to facilitate social and economic self-sufficiency and to promote citizen civic participation in community development by providing exemplary services in education, employment and technological training, social services, health and mental health care, and housing that meets the needs of the residents and families in Newark, East Orange, and Irvington, New Jersey.

Description

Since 1966, Tri-City has been working to enhance and improve its surrounding communities through child care and family services, free health services, programs for seniors, and the development of affordable housing. The local focus is on the West Side Park neighborhood, where Tri-City originated and is currently working to create a comprehensive Neighborhood Plan for revitalization through grassroots community organizing.
