Mission Statement
The mission of the Division of Wildlife Resources is to assure the future of protected wildlife for its intrinsic, scientific, education, and recreational values through protection, propagation, management, conservation, and distribution throughout the State.
Description
The Division of Wildlife Resources is charged by the citizens of Utah to assure the future of protected wildlife. The Division employs professionals who have credentials in wildlife biology and management to maintain healthy populations of game species to meet the recreational demands (hunting, fishing, wildlife watching) of Utahns. The Division is committed to keeping the public informed about wildlife issues in Utah, and providing opportunities for Uthans to participate in DWR programs.
