Mission Statement

South Dayton Dance Theatre is a non-profit organization committed to inspiring young, pre-professional dancers to achieve their full potential through comprehensive dance training with an emphasis on ballet and modern technique. SDDT is dedicated to creating dance productions of the highest artistic standard, as well as enriching our local community through quality dance instruction and performances.

Description

SDDT is a non-profit organization that gives their members a glimpse of life as a professional dancer. The dancers are chosen through an audition process and they range in age from 11 to 18. They must dedicate themselves to taking ballet classes and modern classes, not to mention a rigorous rehearsal schedule. Throughout the year, the dancers get opportunities to perform throughout the Miami Valley, including a Spring Concert and, everyone's holiday favorite, The Nutcracker.

South Dayton Dance Theatre's objective is to train first class dancers in a fun and healthy atmosphere and to give them a taste of what being a professional dancer is all about. Please support us in creating the next generation of dancers, teachers, choreographers, artistic directors and dance enthusiasts.
