The mission of the Maricopa County's Office of Oral Health is to protect and promote oral health of all residents and visitors of Maricopa County.

Description

Maricopa County's Office of Oral Health administers three preventive programs:

  1. DENTAL SEALANT PROGRAM:Is a school based program that receives funding from the Arizona Department of Health Services, and Delta Dental Foundation. Oral Health Screenings and Dental Sealants are provided at no charge to eligible 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th graders throughout Maricopa County.
  2. FIRST TEETH FIRST: Provides Oral Health Screenings and Fluoride varnish to eligible children ages 0-5, and screenings to pregnant women at various WIC, Immunization clinics, Childcare Centers and Pre-schools; First Teeth First is funded by First Things First. First Things First is committed to helping Arizona kids five and younger receive the quality education, healthcare and family support they need to arrive at school healthy and ready to succeed.
  3. ORAL HEALTH TOBACCO PROGRAM: This program provides continuing education to dental professionals regarding the oral manifestations of tobacco use, the critical role that dental professionals play in helping their patients quit.
