Description

Founded in 1938 by a group of Pacific Northwest mountaineers seeking quality equipment, REI is today the nation's largest consumer co-op with more than two million active members. In addition to fulfilling our members' expectation for outdoor gear and information, we also work hard as a company to ensure that natural places are available where members can enjoy the outdoors and outdoor recreation. We do this through a commitment of volunteer time, company donations and leadership within our communities and industry. Many thousands of hours of volunteer time, millions of dollars and ongoing collaborative efforts by REI and our partners are all helping to ensure that outdoor recreations is available and accessible to all.
