I have worked with Amazing Kids! Magazine for the last four years. I have found the experience very rewarding as you get to work directly with the founder, a wonderful mentor for all volunteers on staff. She has taught me so much in dealing with adults, corporations and the staff. Her effective communication skills not only clearly direct everyone, but motivate them to do their best as well. She guides you closely when needed but also lets you on your own when you have proven your abilities. My work with the magazine has increased my writing ability, ability to work with others, and my ability as a team player. The organization works well as a team and we are well informed on the direction of the work. Working with the children for these past years, I have seen them be inspired by the magazine, the contests, and the penpal program to become better writers, readers and visionaries. Volunteering here will allow you to have a major impact on literacy worldwide. Please join the team!
