The PST's mission is to produce movies, readings and theatrical presentations and nurture talented artists as a way of providing light, hope and cultural value to the world community. We pair each skilled professional willing to teach with a single beginner eager to learn. We initiate various kinds of outreach taking people out of their sorrows, providing encouragement through entertainment, artistic development and education. In addition we provide various kinds of support including advocacy and problem resolution. Our neighborhood projects run from workshops to holiday parties for the loneliest and most desperate. The Process' outreach work includes various kinds of help and advocacy which takes us to all areas of the community, with particular attention to children, the disabled, seniors, and people with life threatening illnesses.
Process Studio Theatre produces various art forms including plays, movies and other entertainment. We present our work to the public for low or no entry fees, as well as initiating many strategies to bring the arts to those who would not otherwise have access to them. We also provide outreach services for people, including health advocacy, social services, emergency services, open lines for emergency calls, referrals to other organizations with which we have liaisons, as well as all forms of guidance. We are dynamic and proactive, constantly making adjustments to encompass the many and disparate needs of the community.
We recently opened a thrift shop at West 50th Street between 9th and 10th Avenues that sells a myriad of items from household to art, clothing to kitchenware. It is intended to provide additional revenues to make more and varied projects possible.
