Mission Statement
The International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago is a Pan-Latino mult-arts organization dedicated to developing, promoting, and increasing awareness of Latino Cultures amoung Latinos and other communities through a wide variety of art forms and education.
Description
Most recognized for the production of the Chicago Latino Film Festival, ILCC has screened more than 900 films and videos, including many award-winners that overwise would never been shown in Chicago; sponsored workshops and discussions with more than 500 visiting filmmaker; and hosted more than 100 foreign journalist. ILCC has produced, directly or in coorporation with other organizations, more than 25 cultural events including comedy, dance, music, poetry, theater and visual arts exhibitions. The Chicago Public School, Chicago Public Library, universities and corporations, both locally and nationally, utilize the Chicago Latino Film Festival video library as educational tools within their organizations.
