The Houston Zoo provides a fun, unique, and inspirational experience fostering appreciation, knowledge, and care for the natural world.

Description

The Zoo is made up of moving parts. It is essentially a small city. We have over 3,100 permanent residents, our animals, for which we provide housing, meals, medical care, and yes, even education! In addition, we have 1.4 million guests each year; they enjoy refreshments, perhaps a meal, some pleasant conversation, and entertainment. Our dedicated staff ensures our Zoo is up and running for the safety and well being of our residents and guests.
