Mission Statement

The InterFaith Conference (IFC) brings together the Baha'i, Buddhist, Hindu, Islamic, Jain, Jewish, Latter-day Saints, Protestant, Roman Catholic, Sikh and Zoroastrian faith communities in the national capital area to advance justice, build community and nurture understanding among people of different faith traditions.

Description

Every year we produce The Emergency Food, Shelter and Health Care Directory, a handy resource guide to soup kitchens, medical care and day programs for the homeless and other people in need. We work with youth from our ten faith traditions on shared core values as a way of giving them an opportunity to say no to drugs and violence and to build a life for themselves which is economically viable and based on sound moral principles. We also offer opportunities for dialogue and work on issues of public policy. If you would like to see some of our more current events, our website is www.ifcmw.org.
