Mission Statement

Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Louisiana is an ecumenical Christian housing ministry working to eliminate sub-standard and poverty housing by building simple, decent and affordable homes for deserving families.

Description

Thousands of Gulf Coast evacuees have taken shelter in Northwest Louisiana. Many will not be returning to their home towns because their homes have been destroyed. Habitat for Humanity of Northwest Louisiana is working to provide permanent housing for families displaced by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, and who wish to relocate to the Shreveport-Bossier area. Our affiliate is in the process of finalizing a multi-phased construction project that will address the long-term housing needs of displaced, low income families. Project details will be announced October 14.
