Mission Statement

Knowledge Builders of Florida, Inc. (KBF) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide underprivileged youth and their families the skills to develop intellectually and socially through an innovative, hands-on technology program. Through its motto - "Build a Better Future Today through Technology: -- KBF's vision is to provide a safe, drug free environment that supports and encourages their academic achievement while enhancing their physical, mental, and social well being.

Description

KBF provides after-school tutoring and a full-scope summer program that focuses on computer training, professional development, and test preparation for Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test to underprivileged youth and their families in the Goulds region of South Dade. Our signature program, "Plugged Into Technology and Academics" (PITA). PI TA is designed to improve our participants' academics and to raise their Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test failing scores from levels 1 and 2 to a passing score of level 3, while improving and advancing their computer skills.
