Description

Dove Lewis Emergency Animal Hospital is much more than a place where you can bring your animal 24 hours a day, knowing you ll get the best, most specialized emergency and critical care in the northwest. Our 100% donor-funded community programs also make us unique. Animal Assisted Therapy and Education: We screen and train human-animal teams which visit dozens of facilities, from prisons to schools to hospitals. Pet Loss Support: We help hundreds of people through their grief when they lose a companion animal. Stray Animal and Wildlife Program We are able to never turn away a stray or wild animal if they come to us injured. BloodBank: We run one of the largest community-based animal blood banks in the U.S. Hundreds of lives are saved each year because of our blood bank. It helps not only patients at Dove Lewis, but dogs and cats at other veterinary clinics throughout the Portland metro area.
