Mission Statement

The mission of Pandas International, a non profit organization, is to ensure the preservation and propagation of the endangered Giant Panda by providing public awareness and education, research funding, habitat preservation and enhancement, and assistance to the China Conservation & Research Centers for the Giant Panda (CCRCGP).

Description

Pandas International is a non-profit organization devoted solely to preservation of the Giant Panda by supporting the Panda Reserves in Southern China. The Giant Panda is one of the absolute most endangered species in the world. Scientists estimate the currently population at between 1,000 and 1,600. Their survival is in extreme peril. Pandas International's funds are used for medical equipment; veterinary supplies and basic need of the veterinarians and hospitals at the panda centers. Monies are also used for research, and breeding programs. Pandas International has an education program with schools to help students learn about the panda and increase awareness of the Panda as a highly endangered species, in order to prevent the extinction and ensure the continuing existence of the Giant Panda.
