Mission Statement

The project will start on November 1, 2005 to September 30, 2006. It will take 10 months. The schools are in Nonthaburi province close to Bangkok.And number of the teacher in this project are 150 volunteer teacher. Program objectives 1. To support English language education for Thai students. 2. To promote a healthy exchange of cultures and empathy between Thai students and foreign instructors. 3. To disseminate Thai traditions and culture to people of other countries. 4. To help solve an insufficiency of English language instruction in Thailand. 5. To assist schools who have a limited educational budget to recruit qualified instructors at a salary similar to that of Thai teachers

Description

Obligations of Thai host schools â ¢ We offer both private and government schools that provide education of kindergarten, primary, and secondary levels. However, the current demand is greater for secondary placements (grades 1 â 12). â ¢ Our schools are required to provide a monthly salary to the participants of at least 25,000 Baht (excluding tax deduction). Some schools may be able to offer a higher rate depending on the agreement between the school and the participant. â ¢ Our schools will provide proper furnished accommodation for every participant, for example: a small dormitory, teacher's house, apartment or rented house. â ¢ Our schools are required to pay legal documentation expenses associated with working in Thailand, as well as assist with preparation and administration of this paperwork. For example, they must pay for work permits, document receipts, and medical reports. â ¢ Our schools will provide at least one coordinator to help arrange all details when participants are teaching in their schools. This will include assisting in dealing with cultural differences and with survival Thai language and culture. â ¢ Our schools will provide suitable course materials and stationery when it is available. In some cases, the participant will have to create his or her own lesson plans when course materials are unavailable
