Every year more than half a million abused and neglected children are in need of safe, permanent, nurturing homes. Too many spend years moving from one temporary home to another. They have no family to call their own. They are more likely than other children to face homelessness, unemployment, even prison as adults. That's why CASA is important. CASA was created to make sure the abuse and neglect these children originally suffered at home doesn't continue as abuse and neglect at the hands of the system. As trained advocates, CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to be a voice for these children in court. The result is that a child is placed into a safe, loving home where he/she can thrive.

The Family Greeter will help make children and families who come to The Bluebonnet Children's Advocacy Center feel welcomed, and comfortable and at ease by engaging children in fun activities, games, reading, arts and crafts, and children's videos. Treating the healing children and families that have undergone the stress and trauma of abuse requires many resources. We ask that you help us support families in recovery.
