Mission Statement

The pantry's mission is to help reduce the number of family pets surrendered to animal shelters due to lack of food and keep families and their pets together during tough economic times.

Description

Best Buddies Pet Pantry is an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit organization that provides free pet food to qualified families in need in Porter, Lake and LaPorte Counties IN. Currently the pantry gives more than 4000lbs of pet food each month to family pets in need. It also provides free cat litter, pet supplies, flea/tick treatments and information for low-cost vaccines and spay/neuter services.

Locations of pet food distributions:

Porter County: Duneland Community Center

5 Township Trustee offices in Lake County: North, St John, Hobart, Hanover, Cedar Creek

LaPorte County: Brown Mackie College and Salvation Army of LaPorte
