Description

Great Lakes Bay Animal Society (GLBAS) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization with a focus on companion animals. (Cats and dogs).

The Board of Directors, Coordinators, and members are all volunteers.

GREAT currently does not have a shelter which makes us a "foster based" rescue. Animals are selected from area shelters that need assistance so fewer animals are euthanized.

Animals are fostered in approved volunteer homes, are given appropriate medical care, spay or neutered, and cared for in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted into loving homes.

To cover the costs of operations GREAT volunteers organize fundraisers and public awareness events.

GREAT does not receive any public funding and is not affiliated with any other animal rescue organizations.
