Mission Statement
The mission of Catholic Charities El Programa Hispano is the increase self-sufficiency within the Latino community, to empower individuals to achieve a better quality of life, and to promote mutual respect and understanding between cultures. El Programa Hispano's Project UNICA (Un Nuevo Inicio para Concluir el Abuso - A New Beginning to End Abuse), formerly the domestic violence and sexual assault program, assists Spanish-speaking women, men, and adolescents affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. It is our goal to provide support, advocacy, and opportunity for self-empowerment, allowing survivors to exercise free and informed life choices. We work to ensure that the Latino community has equal access to community services.
