Mission Statement

The mission of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System is to assist individuals in meeting their educational, informational, cultural and leisure needs by providing open access to ideas and information, affording personal and, ultimately, community benefits.

Description

The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System is the largest library system in the state of Georgia. Volunteers serve at all 34 locations. The System provides a variety of literacy and community information services and programs for citizens in and around the Metropolitan Atlanta area. These services include, but are not limited to: providing audio, visual and print media for check-out by registered patrons; providing programming that reflects the diverse interests of area residents and visitors, and providing meeting areas for community discussion and interaction.
