Description

Tennessee Voices for Children (TVC), Inc. was founded in 1986 at time when Tennessee needed better mental health services for children and youth. Coordination of efforts seemed to be the key. TVC became a parent support and advocacy organization for families of children and youth with mental, emotional, and behavioral problems. Today, Tennessee Voices for Children is a statewide, non-profit organization recognized at state and national levels as a leading advocacy organization for the development of family driven childrenâ s mental health policies and services. At TVC, parents, youth, professionals, business leaders and state representatives are committed to improving and expanding services related to the emotional and behavioral well being of children. TVC takes an active role in the development of family friendly policies and believes in the importance of Systems of Care (SOC). We , at Tennessee Voices for Children, believe in keeping families and children together in their homes and communities. Tennessee Voices for Children is funded in part by the Center for Mental Health Services, SAMHSA, and the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities.
