Mission Statement

The IUPUI Office of External Affairs and Indiana Reading Corps sponsors a program called Good Friends, which recruits Indianapolis-area adults to volunteer one hour per week at a local school. Volunteers work one-on-one with students in grades K-6 who need a little extra help in reading.

Description

Volunteers can choose to serve at a school that would be convenient for them. No previous experience is required to be a tutor- just someone who desires to become a friend to a student who could use some extra one-on-one attention. All Good Friends volunteers will need to attend a training and orientation before they begin to tutor.
