Mission Statement

The Himalayan Outreach Project's goal is to offer a home for orphaned girls of Nepal to grow up in a loving, warm family environment, where they can obtain an education and have a chance for a healthy, happy childhood.

Description

The Himalayan Outreach Project runs Aasha Ghar, the "Hope House." Aasha Ghar can home up to 15 girls, a Nepali housemother and visiting foreign volunteers. Giving our Nepali girls a new chance at life means giving much more than just a safe haven. Beyond the affection and protection of their new family, the children can also depend on: A home with modern amenities, warm food and safe drinking water, clothing, a complete education and home tutoring, healthcare and counseling, recreation and socialization and toys, games, art, music and fun.
