Mission Statement

The purpose of the Career Education Learning Center is to encourage and facilitate students' career goals as they work toward making those goals a reality. The program is designed as a resource for young people through education. In addition, students learn helpful financial strategies to support their goals through scholarships, grants, and a myriad of networking opportunities.

Description

We are a Student Scholarship Resource Center where we assist students in High School, College, and non-traditional students finding scholarships and grants to attend the College of their choice. Over 90% of the process is done on a one on one basis with the computer as the main source of communication with the student. We also hold workshops at public libraries and attend area high schools about the importance of school and its cost. We have about four to five meetings a year. Most of the process is done online. In the future we will have meetings on SKYPE so that if you are unable to attend a meeting in person you can tune in on your personal computer. There are many positions within our organization such as Scholarship Couselors, Students Advisors, Wokrshop Assistance as well as traditional roles such as Secretary, Treasure, Director of Student Affairs, and etc.
