Mission Statement

The Community Youth Initiative (CYI) at the JCCs of Greater Philadelphia offers 6th through 12th grade students an opportunity to meet new friends, explore Jewish identity and cultural programs, participate in community service events, collaborate with teens from synagogues and youth groups throughout the Philadelphia area and the surrounding counties, plus much more!

Description

The CYI department works with local youth movements and synagogues to recruit participants and generate interest in community-wide programs through a generous grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. If you are a youth professional or volunteer that works with Jewish teens, we also provide professional development & networking opportunities for you, as well as general information about programs of interest to Jewish teens. Contact us if you want to know more about getting connected to a Jewish Youth Group in your area. We also have information on Jewish Summer experiences (camps, Israel trips, European & US teen tours), Gratz Jewish Community High School (JCHS), and more! CYI aims to make sure Jewish teens and their parents, as well as professionals and volunteers who work with Jewish teens, are aware of all of the opportunities and programs available in the area.
