Grace Falls Farm

Description

We are a faith based organization for rescuing unwanted, abandonded, or slaughter bound horses, we bring them into our fold for medical treatment and begin to show them the unconditional love humans have to offer them. Along the same vein we bring in children ages 7-17 who need a little extra love in their lives. These children may come from abusive homes, are grieving the loss of family members, they may have a physical handicap or are at risk in some other way. When paired together these two groups form one powerful team that is able to heal each other's hearts.

We are not a horse riding facility, but we do ride horses. We first become friends with the animals and with the children educating them about the horses and how they tick. Riding the horse is the result of a trusting relationship that forms between horse and child. The mentor facilitates ways during a 60 minute session to help form forever bonds between horse and rider.

Besides working directly with horses or children there is a diverse array of activities for volunteers to get involved at the farm.
