Mission Statement

At W.I.L.D.--Wilderness Intensive Leadership Development--we know that when youth have a transformative wilderness experience, they will naturally become stewards of themselves, their environment, and their communities. We engage youth in experiential adventure education that empowers their lives by:

• Providing conscious and intentional "rites of passage" within a safe and supportive community wilderness experience.
• Encouraging confidence, self-reliance and responsibility.
• Using everyday experiences, especially challenging ones, as opportunities to learn.
• Creating the conditions where personal growth and leadership can flourish.

We are very excited about building a Viking ship to provide unique, life-changing wilderness experiences for youth!
