Mission Statement

We are here to offer ongoing support, education, commitment, and compassion to the individuals and families enduring the relational trauma caused by Personality Disorders. Through our informative books, child and adult-friendly website, and community of online professionals, we remain dedicated to the healing processes, and empowerment, of those who are either directly or indirectly affected by these challenging mental illnesses.

Description

Personality Disorder Awareness Network (PDAN) was established in 2001 as a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing public awareness about the impact of all Personality Disorders, and especially Borderline (BPD) on children, families, relationships, and the society-at-large. The PDAN Board of Directors is comprised of individuals and clinical professionals who have been impacted by or treat these mental illnesses.

Personality Disorders include:
- Borderline Personality Disorder
- Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder
- Avoidant Personality Disorder
- Schizotypal Personality Disorder

- Antisocial Personality Disorder (Dyssocial Personality Disorder)

- Narcissistic Personality Disorder
- other types of Personality Disorder with Trait Specified
