The General Lew Wallace Study and Museum celebrates and renews belief in the power of the individual spirit to affect American History and culture.

Description

Best known for writing Ben Hur, General Wallace was also: Governor of the New Mexico Territory, Civil War General, Mexican War veteran, US Ambassador to Turkey, inventor, lawyer, musician, lecturer, and sportsman. The General Lew Wallace Study and Museum is dedicated to honoring the man and his work. At the museum, we use Wallace's life as an example of how anyone can make an impact and change their community and the world.
