Mission Statement

As a non-profit, all volunteer rescue group, BARC (Beagles of Arizona Rescue Club) provides assistance to homeless and needy beagles. Beagles coming into BARC's care will eventually be placed in permanent loving homes based upon their needs. BARC's goals include education about the breed, providing foster homes and veterinary care, supporting volunteers in their rescue efforts, and working with shelters and humane societies to reduce euthanasia of healthy animals. BARC may work with other rescue organizations to support a non-kill environment and spay/neuter efforts in local communities.

Description

BARC's overall mission is to assist homeless beagles and place them in permanent loving homes. The purposes and goals to help us achieve this are as follows: *Educate the public and prospective adopters about the breed *Provide foster care for beagles rescued from area shelters, stray, and owner releases. *Determine suitable permanent homes for dogs taken into foster care *Provide emotional and financial support to foster homes when in the best interest of the dogs *Provide volunteers a supportive environment in which to learn and perform animal rescue work *Raise funds through various activities to provide medical care for the dogs and fund operating expenses *Provide assistance with behavioral issues, whenever possible, to current owners seeking help in keeping their beagle. *Support spay and neuter efforts in local communities
