Mission Statement

Southern New Hampshire Time Exchange is a new reciprocal volunteer program developed through the Area Agency of Greater Nashua, Inc. We, the members of the Time Exchange, are neighbors helping neighbors using our talents by exchanging services with one another, therefore creating positive social connections which strengthen our community. The mission of the Time Exchange is to build and strengthen community by exchanging hours of neighborly service to enrich the lives of its members.

Description

The Time Exchange, developed by the Area Agency of Greater Nashua, Inc., is a program for people of all abilities. It connects people to one another to meet needs and increase the quality of their lives. Members of the program exchange neighborly services with each other from a long list of approved activities such as baking, car care, child care, handyman services, making phone calls, pet sitting, and providing transportation. They receive a Time Exchange Credit for each hour they volunteer their time. Members then spend their Credits to receive assistance from other Time Exchange members who can provide the help they need. Members are not limited to giving back to the same members who provided services to them. Each member both gives and receives services and every hour of time exchanged is worth one Time Exchange Credit no matter the task.
