Mission Statement

The Buffalo State Alumni Association's goal is to foster a spirit of loyalty and fellowship among the graduates of Buffalo State and to promote and support the relationship between the college and its alumni. The Alumni Association serves Buffalo State and 96,000 alumni worldwide.

Description

The Bengal 5K supports two student scholarships, the Legacy Scholarship as well as the Military Service Scholarship.

The Legacy Scholarship Fund secures educational funding for lineal descendants of Buffalo State alumni, and the Military Services Scholarship is awarded to students who are currently serving or have prior service in any branch of the United States military. The Alumni Association is committed to supporting these scholarships, which were created to reward deserving students who demonstrate the core values of this institution.

All net proceeds from the Bengal 5K go towards the Legacy Scholarship and Military Service Scholarship funds. These scholarships are a vital resource to our students and serve as one of the Alumni Association’s primary initiatives of providing opportunities for alumni and community members to support the mission of Buffalo State.
