Mission Statement

This organization has been formed to provide an activity for youth who wish to participate in the sport of bowling where everyone is involved and no one sits on the bench. This will be accomplished by providing them with quality bowling instruction, given by certified instructors, who have either met or exceeded the qualifications of the United State Bowling Congress,the parent organization.

The league has been in existence for almost 50 years. And through the concern and continuous parental involvement, the league has grown into what it is today. An entity that now has a list of young people waiting to join the program.

One of the goals that has been established is to award scholarships to some of our deserving youngsters. Part of this goal is to raise funds without increasing the fees that are charged to the parents. We hope this can be achieved by private contributions,

Description

The Jersey Lanes Youth bowling program is an instruction bowling program. We have 20 certified coaches to assist in the teaching of young bowlers. Our program is Saturday Mornings at 9am. We have apx 200 bowlers ranging from 5 - 19 years of age. Our program is also a scholarship program. Everyone receives scholarship money at end of season. Over the past 10 years we have awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships. Most of this money is raised through donations and fundraisers. We are looking for volunteers to coach these children, to collect dues and to help raise more money to give in scholarships.
