Mission Statement

The Parent Connection (formerly known as Las Madres) recognizes that parents have special and unique parenting needs. The Parent Connection is dedicated to meeting those needs by providing education, support and compassion for all parents. The Parent Connection is building a group that believes in, and is based upon, a parent's right to every opportunity to better their child's life. The Parent Connection will accomplish this in a personalized, effective, efficient and well-organized manner.

Description

The Parent Connection The Parent Connection (formerly Las Madres) is a non-profit parenting support network of more than 3,500 San Diego families. Our diverse membership includes parents in their 20s, 30s and 40s, both married and single. Since 1980, Scripps and The Parent Connection have brought together San Diego families for fun, education and support. Our volunteer board of directors donate their time and effort to help provide the best possible programs to meet parents' needs. All members are encouraged to volunteer, whether it be for a board position, committee position or an occassional hour at an event. Learning from each other as parents and helping each other as friends, Parent Connection members share experiences and information, enjoy social activities and build lasting relationships. Our membership encompasses both first-time and seasoned parents. All San Diego county families are invited to join as we help you face the wonderful challenges of parenting.
