Mission Statement

Footloose Sailing Association is a chapter of Disabled Sports USA, a national nonprofit organization promoting sports for the disabled community.

Footloose is dedicated to helping individuals of all ages within the disabled community. Leave your disability at the dock.

Description

Throughout the summer months, Footloose offers day sails to individuals with all types of disabilities. We encourage as much independece as desired by all who join us.

Our fleet includes 4 access dinghies, 2 Martin 16's and a Columbia 21. We have a 13ft. Boston Whaler that is used as a chase boat keeping a close eye on our participants as well as bringing them in and out of the marina. All boats are equipped with a 2-way radio for continuous communication.

Footloose serves people with a wide range of physical or developmental disabilities.

The program operates Saturdays from the North Leschi Marina on Lake Washinton. Everyone is welcome. Footloose offers on-going training for volunteers at each event.
