Mission Statement

Hawaiian Avenue is an urban PreK through 5th grade elementary school whose mission is to foster and encourage academic, emotional and social development so that all students may achieve their full potential and have equal access to higher education.

Description

We are an elementary school of 750 PreK-5th grade students. The majority of our students' families live at or below the poverty level. Additionally, many of our students' parents are not fluent English speakers. We offer many and varied volunteering opportunities as you will note in our listings. However, if you have a special skill/talent you would like to share with our students, please let us know.
