Mission Statement

Pet Adoption League, Inc. is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1998. Our purpose is to place healthy, spayed or neutered dogs and cats into approved homes. We accept animals from shelters and directly from the public. The organization is run entirely by volunteers, and our financial resources are derived solely from adoption fees, fundraisers and donations. Our mission is to save lives by keeping as many animals as we can from being taken to shelters and euthanized. We are a no-kill organization, and keep our animals in foster homes until adopted.

Description

Pet Adoption League is a rescue organization who finds approved homes for dogs and cats. The animals are strays, unwanted pets who have been dumped, pulled from "kill shelters" or surrendered from individuals because they can no longer care for them. Until adopted, our rescued animals are boarded either in foster homes or a few at veterinary clinics. They are totally vetted and spayed or neutered. To cover a portion of the medical costs, we charge an adoption fee. We show our pets for adoption at the 71st and Highway 169 PetSmart every Saturday from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm. Prospective adopters must complete an application and provide references. Our adoption committee screens the applications and makes the best match for the animal and the adopter.
