Description

Kupona directly supports CCBRT, the largest provider of rehabilitative health care in Tanzania and has an established record of high-quality direct medical care since 1994. Every year, around 120,000 adults and children with disabilities and their caregivers achieve a better quality of life through CCBRT services.

CCBRT's new maternity hospital is a priority for Kupona's efforts to raise awareness and funding. This program is part of an unprecedented public-private partnership with the Government of Tanzania to address the major challenge of high maternal and newborn mortality and disability rates. Because of this collaboration with the government, our approach is sure to become an innovative and replicable model for providing comprehensive women's health care at the regional level in Africa. We know that by improving women's health care in Africa, we can save thousands of lives, reduce the spread of HIV/AIDS and prevent the occurrence of disabilities. The cumulative effect can bring transformational changes to families, villages and entire communities.
